APRIS sends a precisely shaped acoustic pulse through each tube and analyzes the reflections to identify blockages, through-holes, pitting/erosion, internal diameter changes, and leaks. It works on any tube material and geometry (including U-bends and finned tubes), typically in seconds per tube, enabling true 100% coverage during tight turnarounds.

- Tube material/configuration/thickness independent inspection: Straight/U bend/finned/spiral/ twisted tube heat exchangers, boilers, furnace tubes with ID from 7 to 100 mm.
- Detects, locates and sizes the tube defects: Pinholes, tube end /U bend erosion, pitting, open cracks/ruptures.
- Rapid coverage: Non-invasive 10 seconds per tube inspection with minimum advance tube cleaning and site resources, provides quick inspection window.
- Actionable outputs: Confirmatory borescope-pressure test of tubes with major defects and tube plugging/re-tubing recommendations.
How APRIS Works
- Deploy suitable size tube end adaptor to APRIS handheld probe as per tube ID.
- Enter tube OD-ID-Length Parameters and carry out tube inspection while monitoring the acoustic signals being acquired for each tube. Save inspection data file for analysis.
- Analyse acquired data for defect type, defect size & defect location in tubes.
- Report the inspection findings with clear recommendations.
